Island where all becomes clear.
Solid ground beneath your feet.
The only roads are those that offer access.
Bushes bend beneath the weight of proofs.
The Tree of Valid Supposition grows here
with branches disentangled since time immemorial.
The Tree of Understanding, dazzlingly straight and simple,
sprouts by the spring called Now I Get It.
The thicker the woods, the vaster the vista:
the Valley of Obviously.
If any doubts arise, the wind dispels them instantly.
Echoes stir unsummoned
and eagerly explain all the secrets of the worlds.
On the right a cave where Meaning lies.
On the left the Lake of Deep Conviction.
Truth breaks from the bottom and bobs to the surface.
Unshakable Confidence towers over the valley.
Its peak offers an excellent view of the Essence of Things.
For all its charms, the island is uninhabited,
and the faint footprints scattered on its beaches
turn without exception to the sea.
As if all you can do here is leave
and plunge, never to return, into the depths.
Into unfathomable life.

by Elizabeth Barrett Browning
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the depth and breadth and height My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight For the ends of being and ideal grace. I love thee to the level of every day's Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light. I love thee freely, as men strive for right. I love thee purely, as they turn from praise. I love thee with the passion put to use In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith. I love thee with a love I seemed to lose With my lost saints. I love thee with the breath, Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death

Day: 413
Amy Winehouse: Wake Up Alone (original recording)
this song and this version is simply exquisite
‘American Psycho’ by Mary Herron (2000)
Based Bret Easton Ellis’ novel, this crude representation of this psychopathic, successful, powerful man was one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time. I love Christian Bale, and I loved him even more after seeing him as Patrick Bateman. The dialogue (script) for me was the best thing about the film. It was just so funny! To that we owe it to the aforementioned author Mary Harron and also Guinevere Turner.
This piece of Herron’s work really, really reminded me of another one of my favourites ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ by Tarrantino, so it’s definite yes for those who are a fan of ol’ Quentin’s work!
Favourite Quotes:
“I have to return some videotapes”
“Do you like Phil Collins? …”

The Coral- Thinking of you
This is my “It’s been a good day” song
enjoy!
I have not reviewed in so long. I feel bad. But I’m stressed man. I feel as if year 13 will be the death of me before May! I just want these next couple of weeks to finish. Hopefully I’ll be better off then. I’m better at revision than coursework. But boy oh boy do I clam up in those exams.
Jah will provide
Jah will provide for us all

Day 377
We went to Ross Ashmore solo Exhibition opening at Space Gallery!
His body of art which consisted of over 150 paintings all of the different underground stations in London over the last 2 and a half years.
Ashmore’s oil paintings were all very chaotic and colourful, which is a fair representation of our lovely city. The paintings themselves really stood out of the canvas, almost 3D, (I really wanted to touch it, it looked like yarn!).
He told us he has only 3 zones to go! Fitting in with his personally set deadline this summer at the 150th Anniversary of the London Underground.
We got free glasses of white wine…It was really really lovely. His people, the supporters, the young and local artists, the host (Fionn) all made it a warm and welcoming environment.
What is crazy is the fact that I met him the thursday just gone, (it was my day to open the gallery) and he kept his identity to himself! “I’m just here to put up the Artwork” he says! Such a lovely man! We properly re-introduced ourselves and I am looking forward to hosting his art every Thursday (my day) for the next 4 weeks.
Come along folks to Space Gallery @ Southgate, London.
Free entry.
Open Mon-Fri: 5.30pm-7.30pm Sat/Sun: 12pm-4pm

Day 377
Yesterday me and Emily B baked until we dropped! We made healthy stuff.
Pear+fudge+almond cupcakes and peanut butter biscuits.
I turned up an hour early which was embarrassing but it was all good, we jammed and chatted and had peach squash.
The fun didn’t end there…
